PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Cleans and services building(s) by sweeping and mopping offices, halls, stairways and entrances.
2. Waxes and buffs floors with mechanical equipment.
3. Oils, lubricates or greases motors such as those found in the mechanical room and elevators.
4. Cleans lighting fixtures, replaces light bulbs, washes windows, washes walls, moves furniture and equipment.
5. Assists with outside work such as sweeping walks, shoveling snow, cutting lawns and trimming hedges.
6. Loads/unloads trucks and checks in shipments.
7. Acts as messenger as necessary.
8. Cleans and repairs minor maintenance on trucks and tools.
9. Picks up and disposes of trash or soiled linen.
10. Delivers clean linen.
11. Checks and maintains filters and chlorine count where applicable.
12. Does related maintenance and cleaning work as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must have a working knowledge of the maintenance and repair of buildings, fixtures and equipment.
2. Must have the ability to make a variety of simple repairs and adjustments to buildings and equipment.
3. Must have the ability to supervise cleaning and seasonal personnel.
4. Must have the ability to lift medium weights.
5. Must be willing to perform routine manual work.
6. Must be willing to work under all weather conditions.
7. Must have physical endurance.
8. Must be in physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.
9. Must have completed a minimum of an eighth-grade education.
