Grade 1: Blasdell - first semester
Knowledge of and ability to implement classroom management strategies to address the needs of diverse learners; Knowledge of and ability to implement research-based instructional practices and strategies aligned with the NYS Standards across the content areas; Experience utilizing formative assessments to inform instructional decision making; Ability to implement behavioral and positive effective classroom management strategies and effectively managing student behavior. Capacity to utilize technology to enhance practice; Must demonstrate an understanding of the cognitive processes of primary and intermediate readers; Willingness to work with special education students in an inclusion classroom, as well as ENL students; Must possess New York State Certification for subject/grade level identified.
