CJS Falcon Center Schedule: 10 months, 3 hrs/day, 10:30 am-1:30 pm

Middle School Schedule: 10 months, 3.5 hrs/day, 9:45 am-1:15 pm 

 

JOB GOAL:  To assist in the supervision and management of students in the school lunch line and dining areas.

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Assists students through the cafeteria serving line and to direct them to their proper seats (elementary level);
  2. Keep the lunch line orderly;
  3. Encourage students to eat and behave in a quiet, orderly manner;
  4. Reports to the appropriate teacher or administrator any serious disturbance that cannot be corrected by the monitor;
  5. Encourages students to carry their own trays and keep their eating area clean;
  6. Assists in returning trays and cleaning areas where students have neglected or forgotten to do so;
  7. Reports breakage, spillage, etc., to the Custodian as soon as possible;
  8. Report any unsafe or unsatisfactory conditions to the Head Cook as soon as possible;
  9. Performs related tasks as assigned by the Building Principal.

JOB GOAL: To assist in the preparation and serving of food, and in the cleaning of kitchen equipment.

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  1. Prepares and serves food;
  2. Washes and sanitizes food service utensils and equipment;
  3. Wash and dry dishes, pots and pans;
  4. Operates the cash register;
  5. Cleans up the kitchen, serving areas and mops floors;
  6. Assists with other food service activities required for the operation of the School Lunch Program;
  7. From time to time, performs special duties assigned by the cook;
  8. Some days, performs the job of someone who is absent;
  9. Works cooperatively with the cook and others on any job assigned following directions from the cook;
  10. Is friendly and cordial to students, teachers and staff at all times;
  11. Does related work as needed.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Prepares and cooks food for meals and other functions;
  2. Supervises all kitchen personnel;
  3. Assists in the training of food service helpers;
  4. Applies all principles set forth in HEALTH DEPARTMENT regulations;
  5. Prepares and cooks special dietary meals;
  6. Supervises the cleaning, sanitizing and usage of equipment used in food preparation;
  7. Requisitions supplies when needed;
  8. Completes data forms required by State and Local regulators;
  9. Completes paperwork required by School Lunch Manager
  10. Performs related work as needed

NOTE: Serves breakfasts and lunches daily
