Long-Term:Special Education

Interviews may be ongoing; probable duration on or about December 4, 2025-January 20, 2026. 

Knowledge of and ability to provide instruction that is specially designed to meet the needs of students in an 8:1:1 self-contained setting in grades 6-8. Must have strong knowledge of Behavioral Intervention Plans and Functional Behavioral Assessments. Knowledge of and ability to implement positive effective classroom management strategies. Willing to be CPI trained. Must have a strong knowledge of instructional strategies to address the needs of a diverse group of learners, with a strong emphasis on reading, writing and math skills. Strong collaborative skills with related service providers and grade level teachers are required in order to ensure successful mainstreaming of students. Must be certified in Students with Disabilities grades 5 - 9; 7 - 12.

$155.00-$235.77 per diem
Long-Term: Mathematics

Knowledge of and ability to implement strategies to address the needs of diverse learners; Knowledge of Mathematics standards and curriculum; Willingness to work with special education students; Knowledge of and ability to implement positive, effective classroom management strategies; Experience utilizing formative assessments to inform instructional decision-making; Ability to implement behavioral and positive effective classroom management strategies and effectively managing student behavior. Capacity to utilize technology to enhance practice; Willingness to work with special education students in an inclusion classroom, as well as ENL students; Prefer New York State Certification Math 7-12.
