2026/2027 Wages currently being negotiated—Anticipated Salary Increase

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: 10 month 7 hours per day

1. Must be stationed in the lifeguard chair and supervise the safety and rescue of swimming participants.
2. Set up required equipment for class activity and put away at the end of the day;
3. Supervise locker rooms and hallways before and after class;
4. Assist in record keeping where necessary;
5. Assist in intramural activities with a qualified teacher;
6. Supervises, as needed, athletic teams until the coach arrives to assume his/her responsibilities;
7. Performs related work as assigned.

REPORTS TO: Supervisor of Transportation & Head Bus Driver(s)

JOB GOAL: To ride the school bus for the purpose of maintaining order and supervising the loading and unloading of buses.      

                      PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1.   Assists students in boarding and departing the bus;

  2.   Makes sure the child is securely in their seat before notifying the driver to proceed;

  3.  Keeps children in their proper seats and keeps them as comfortable as possible;

  4.   Assists driver upon request (traffic conditions, directions, etc.);

  5.   Is alert and sees that children do not throw objects, maintains order in general;   

  6.   Sees that no child gets out of his or her seat until the bus stops and is ready for unloading and loading;

  7.   Keeps records and makes daily reports of needs;

  8.   Assists in the cleaning of the bus (sweeping, dusting, wiping down, garbage removal, etc);

  9.   Operates an elevator for the loading and unloading of physically challenged students;

 10.  Make sure necessary supplies are available at all times;

 11.   Performs related work as required.
