PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Must be stationed in the lifeguard chair and supervise the safety and rescue of swimming participants.
2. Set up required equipment for class activity and put away at the end of the day;
3. Supervise locker rooms and hallways before and after class;
4. Assist in record keeping where necessary;
5. Assist in intramural activities with a qualified teacher;
6. Supervises, as needed, athletic teams until the coach arrives to assume his/her responsibilities;
7. Performs related work as assigned.

Knowledge of and ability to implement strategies to address the needs of diverse learners in a classroom setting;

Knowledge of certification standards and curriculum;

Willingness to work with special education students;

Knowledge of and ability to implement positive, effective classroom management strategies.
